Auth Your Agent

For shops

AI assistants are bringing you customers. Let them finish the order.

People now ask an assistant to find a product, compare prices and order it. When the assistant gets stuck at your sign-in or your checkout, it doesn't wait: it tells the customer it couldn't, or buys somewhere it can. Your analytics never show that order as lost. Auth Your Agent lets the assistant sign in as your customer's approved agent and complete the purchase, with the customer confirming the payment on their phone.

Where an assistant's order is lost

The same places a person drops off, except an assistant cannot work around them.

The front door
A bot challenge on the home page, or a robots.txt that turns away ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity when they visit for a user. The assistant never sees your products.
Sign-in
Repeat customers have accounts, saved addresses and loyalty prices. An assistant can't solve a CAPTCHA, and careful customers won't give it their password.
Checkout
The customer wants a say before money moves, and the assistant has no way to ask them inside your checkout. So it stops and hands the job back, and the customer often doesn't come back to finish it.

See which of these your shop has, from the outside, in about ten seconds.

How it works

  1. Sign-in
The assistant asks; the customer approves. Your sign-in page gets one more button, "Sign in with Auth Your Agent", next to Google or Apple. The customer approves on their phone, and the assistant gets its own account on your shop, linked to that customer. No password changes hands.
  2. Browsing
It shops like the customer would. Same catalogue, same prices, same basket. The agent's account is named for what it is, for example "Jarvis (agent of James)", so you can see which orders came through an agent.
  3. Payment
The customer confirms, in your words. Your shop asks for confirmation; the customer's phone shows your text, for example "Pay $45.00 for order 1234 (Brass lighthouse lamp)", and they approve with their fingerprint. The assistant cannot change that text.
  4. Afterwards
One tap ends it. The customer can withdraw the assistant's access at any time; its session on your shop ends within minutes, at once if your sign-in supports back-channel logout.

Why customers will let an assistant buy from you

They never share a password
The assistant gets its own access, for your shop only, which the customer can take back.
They see what they are paying for
The confirmation shows your amount and item, not the assistant's summary of them.
Nothing is charged without them
Each payment needs the customer's fingerprint or face on their own phone.

That is what makes a customer comfortable saying "go ahead and order it", which is the sale you want.

Setup: an afternoon, not a project

Sign-in
Standard OpenID Connect: an issuer, a client ID and a secret. Your shop platform's existing sign-in plugin usually does it. On WordPress and WooCommerce, our plugin does sign-in and order confirmation; there are step-by-step guides for Auth.js, Keycloak, Authentik and Django.
Payment confirmation
One call from your checkout with the text the customer should see. The demo shop's Buy button is a working example.
Nothing else changes
People still shop the way they do now. Agents simply have a way in that doesn't need a password.

Cost

Free during early access, for every shop. After that, free up to 100,000 agent checks a month, which covers most small and medium shops; larger plans are proposed, not yet in effect.
